Reporting a bug
The more of this you include, the faster we can fix it:
- Your device and OS version (for example "iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 26").
- Which character and level you were playing (for example "PM, L4").
- What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead.
- A screenshot or screen recording, if you have one.
Common questions
The FAQ on the main page covers the big ones: what the free game includes, whether you need an internet connection, and whether the AI companion is required (it isn't).
Your saves
LADDER has no accounts and no cloud save. Your runs, your deck, and your settings live on your device, which means deleting the app deletes your career. The corporate ladder is unforgiving like that.
Your purchases are not part of that. Unlocks are tied to the App Store or Google Play account you bought them with, not to the save file, so they survive a reinstall or a new phone. See Purchases below for how to get them back.
Two other things live off-device, because they would not survive a reinstall otherwise: your Cognit balance and the quests and milestones you have claimed are kept on our server against a random install id. No name, no email, no advertising identifier. The privacy page covers what that record contains.
Deleting your data
Three levels, depending on how thorough you want to be:
- Stop the collection. Settings has two privacy switches, both on by default: Gameplay analytics records play events on your device, and Share analytics with the developer also sends them off-device. Turn the second one off to keep everything local; turn the first one off and the game stops collecting altogether, including crash reports and coarse location. The game plays identically without either.
- Delete the local save. Delete the app. Runs, deck, and settings go with it.
- Delete the server record. Email ladder@yazfab.com with the subject "delete my data" and include your support code. You will find it in Settings, at the bottom of the legal and support section, under the Support link: tap it to copy. That code is the only thing that reliably points at your record, so send it before anything else. We will delete the server-side Cognit balance, ledger, and claim history it keys, along with the analytics profile filed under the same code, and write back when it is done.
The support-code row only appears once the app has created a server record for your install. If it is not there, there is no balance, ledger, or claim history to delete, and no identifier we could match an analytics profile against either. In that case the two steps above cover everything: turn the switches off, and delete the app.
What we cannot delete: Apple and Google hold their own purchase records, which are outside our reach, and aggregate counts that no longer point at any single install stay in our totals. A few other server-side records fall outside this flow today, and the privacy page lists them plainly rather than promising something the code does not yet do.
Purchases
Character DLC and in-app purchases are handled by the App Store and Google Play. Refunds go through them, and Apple and Google policies apply.
Restoring an unlock is self-serve, no email needed. Sign in with the store account you bought it on, then tap Restore purchases in one of three places:
- Settings, in the purchases section.
- The bottom of any unlock screen.
- The CEO's mandate renewal screen.
That re-checks the store for everything you own on that account and reapplies it. If a restore still comes back empty, email us and we'll help you sort it out.
